Key rule: In Fairbanks, no trailer may be parked on any publicly maintained city street or highway for longer than one hour at a time.
In Fairbanks, city code limits a trailer on any publicly maintained street to one hour at a time, and any vehicle to 24 consecutive hours unless posted otherwise, with a $60 minimum fine and possible towing if a tagged vehicle isn't moved. The director of public works can issue special permits to back a vehicle up to the curb for loading. In winter, Public Works posts "NO PARKING AFTER 7 AM" signs after noon the day before snow removal, and once an area is posted all vehicles and trailers must be off the roadway or risk a tow.
