Hire moving help to pack your home
A crew wraps fragile items, packs and seals boxes and labels each box by room. This is usually done a day or more before your truck arrives.
Labor only. You rent the truck, trailer or container and drive it. The crew lifts, carries, loads and unloads.

What the crew handles
- Wrapping dishes, glassware and fragile decor
- Packing kitchens, closets, bookshelves and garages into boxes
- Sealing and labeling every box with its room and contents
- Wardrobe boxes for hanging clothes, when you have them
What you arrange
- Boxes, tape and packing paper, unless supplying them is confirmed at booking
- Sorting and decluttering before packing starts
- Packing valuables, documents and medication yourself
Who it's for
- People short on time before a move date
- Households with full kitchens, large book collections or lots of fragile items
- Anyone loading a container or truck who wants boxes that stack well
What gets confirmed before your move
These details change how long the job takes. We agree on them in writing before we schedule a crew.
- Which rooms or categories to pack, and roughly how full they are
- Who supplies boxes and materials, and how much
- Whether packing and loading happen the same day or on separate days
- Items you'd rather pack yourself or that need special crating
How to prepare
- Declutter first. Don't pay to pack things you won't keep.
- Set aside what you'll pack yourself, like jewelry, documents, medication and electronics data
- Run the dishwasher and clear the fridge before kitchen packing
- Tell the crew which rooms come last because you're still living in them
Equipment and materials
You provide
- Boxes in a few sizes, tape and packing paper (or confirm the crew is supplying them)
- Wardrobe and dish-pack boxes if you want them
Confirm when you book
- Whether the crew can bring materials, and how they're charged
- Whether specialty crating is available or needs a specialist
What affects time and price
Labor is priced by time and crew size. We haven't published rates, minimums or fees yet. This list shows what changes the number of hours.
- How much stuffKitchens and book-heavy rooms take the longest per square foot.
- Fragile itemsGlassware, art and collectibles take careful, slow wrapping.
- Same day or separate dayPacking the day before keeps loading day short and predictable.
- DeclutteringSorting while packing is slow. Decide what's going before the crew starts.
Specialty and heavy items
Large mirrors, glass tabletops, art and antiques may need custom crating, which a general crew may not provide. Note them so they can be reviewed.
We check pianos, safes, gym equipment, pool tables, hot tubs and anything over about 300 lb one at a time. Some may need a specialist.
Questions about packing
Is packing included with loading?
No. Packing and loading are separate jobs. Loading help expects boxes to be packed and sealed. If they aren't, add packing.
Can you just pack the kitchen?
Yes. Partial packing of the slowest rooms is common. Choose the rooms in the planner.
Do you supply boxes?
We haven't decided yet. Plan to supply your own unless we confirm materials when you book.
Need help with packing?
Tell us about your move. We'll show how many helpers you need and for how long. Then send a request. We'll email you to confirm the time and price.
