In Venice, portable storage containers need a temporary use permit; on a residential lot they must sit on the driveway, never in the right-of-way, and they can be no larger than 18 by 10 by 10 feet. Outside the Venice Avenue district a container may stay seven consecutive days, or up to 30 with the Zoning Administrator's approval.
