Statesville rules for moving trucks, trailers and containers.
Key rule: In Statesville, trucks of more than three-quarter-ton capacity may not park on city streets between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m., and during the day may park only to load or unload, for no more than one hour at a time.
Statesville's city code keeps trucks of more than three-quarter-ton capacity off city streets overnight and limits daytime street parking for them to loading or unloading of up to one hour at a time. The police chief can permit backing a vehicle to the curb to load, alley loading requires an attendant who can move the vehicle, and items may not be placed in the street right-of-way or on sidewalks. Parked vehicles must leave 10 feet of roadway clear, and loud loading noise is a listed noise violation.
