In Dayton, trailers, campers and similar equipment may stay on a residential-zone street only while they are continuously and actively being loaded or unloaded, and motor vehicles built and used to carry merchandise or freight may not remain parked on those streets between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. Placing or storing personal property on a street, sidewalk or alley outside ordinary traffic needs a permit from the Director of Public Works, and the Division of Civil Engineering issues street privilege permits for special uses of the right-of-way.
