Parking and permits

Tulsa rules for moving trucks, trailers and containers.

Key rule: In Tulsa, no vehicle with a manufacturer's gross vehicle weight rating over 10,000 pounds, or rated one ton or greater and wider than 90 inches, may be parked at night on a street 26 feet wide or less unless the driver is actually loading or unloading merchandise and has displayed the required disabled-vehicle warnings.

In Tulsa, heavier or wider vehicles (over 10,000 pounds GVW, or rated one ton or more and wider than 90 inches) may not be parked at night on streets 26 feet wide or less unless the driver is loading or unloading merchandise with the required warnings displayed, and storing trucks, trailers, boats or other equipment wider than 90 inches on any street at night is unlawful. No vehicle may be left unattended on a public street, alley or other public way for more than 24 hours. The city tests its outdoor sirens every Wednesday at noon, weather permitting, and uses a separate high-low tone to warn of catastrophic flooding.
