Amarillo rules for moving trucks, trailers and containers.

Key rule: In Amarillo, trucks, trailers and commercial vehicles rated over one ton may not park on streets in or next to residential districts except while expeditiously loading or unloading freight or merchandise.

Amarillo city code bars leaving or parking motor homes, trucks, semi-trailers, travel trailers and other trailers, buses, and commercial vehicles rated over one ton on streets, alleys or parkways in or next to residential districts, with an exception for expeditiously loading and unloading freight or merchandise; a vehicle placarded for a previous violation may be towed at the operator's expense. Those vehicles may never block the normal flow of traffic, and any parked vehicle must leave at least 10 feet of roadway open.
