Key rule: In Roswell, a portable storage container must sit entirely on the owner's lot, with no part in the public right-of-way, and residential lots get one container for up to 30 consecutive days, twice a year.

Roswell's zoning code allows one temporary portable storage container on a residential lot for up to 30 consecutive days twice a calendar year, no larger than 8 feet high and 16 feet long, placed completely on the owner's lot and out of the right-of-way. State-licensed commercial vehicles may not park in residential districts except temporarily for a service, sale, delivery or pick-up, and RVs, boats and trailers may sit anywhere on a residential lot for up to 24 hours during loading and unloading. On city streets, vehicles over eight tons may not park more than six hours except while loading or unloading, and boxes or goods may not be left in the street or on the sidewalk so as to impede traffic.
