Meridian rules for moving trucks, trailers and containers.
Key rule: In Meridian, every vehicle longer than 19 feet overall must be parked parallel to the curb anywhere in the city.
In Meridian, the traffic code bars trucks (property-carrying vehicles able to haul more than 2,200 pounds), truck tractors and trailers from parking on residential streets except while picking up or delivering heavy merchandise or materials, and vehicles over 19 feet must always park parallel to the curb. The zoning code separately keeps boats, trailers, campers and RVs off all streets and prohibits commercial vehicles or trailers rated at one and a half tons or more in residential districts. Downtown, vehicles may stay in a curb loading zone no more than 30 minutes, and vehicles with trailers may not load or unload in a listed area from 10 a.m. to noon or 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
