Parking and permits

Lebanon rules for moving trucks, trailers and containers.

Key rule: In Lebanon, a dumpster in the public right-of-way needs a Department of Public Works permit, issued for no more than 30 calendar days, and a ten-yard container costs $2 a day for the first 30 days.

In Lebanon, every dumpster in the public right-of-way needs a permit from the Department of Public Works, which the owner, lessee or an agent applies for; it is issued for up to 30 calendar days and priced per day by container size. Dumpsters are allowed in the right-of-way only when there is no reasonable alternative, and half the sidewalk must stay clear for pedestrians. The code limits parking in one spot to the posted time or 48 hours where none is posted, and no vehicle may park on a snow emergency route during a declared snow emergency.
