Pittsburgh rules for moving trucks, trailers and containers.
Key rule: In Pittsburgh, holding on-street parking spaces for a moving truck or moving container takes a DOMI Moving Permit, which runs two days for a truck and two weeks for a container.
In Pittsburgh, the Department of Mobility and Infrastructure (DOMI) issues a Moving Permit to reserve part of a parking lane for a moving truck or container: $50 per truck for up to two days, or two weeks for a container, with a separate permit needed at each city address. Allow a week for review once the application is complete, and post any No Parking sign issued with the permit at least 48 hours ahead. Metered spaces go through the Pittsburgh Parking Authority, and in residential permit areas a visitor pass covers up to three consecutive days.
