Schertz rules for moving trucks, trailers and containers.

Key rule: In Schertz, a temporary portable storage container is allowed at a home for no more than 60 days per calendar year, and in the front yard it must sit on concrete such as the driveway.

Schertz's development code allows temporary portable storage containers in residential districts for up to 60 days a year, on a concrete surface such as the driveway when they sit in the front yard. The traffic code bars parking or storing commercial vehicles over one ton, RVs and trailers on city streets except for temporary customer parking at a business, though commercial vehicles may still park to load and unload. Parked vehicles must leave ten feet of roadway open, and loud loading or unloading noise is listed as a nuisance.
