Lynchburg rules for moving trucks, trailers and containers.
Key rule: In Lynchburg, only passenger vehicles and pickup or panel trucks of 7,500 pounds or less may park on residential streets, other than while loading, unloading or making service calls, and even then an oversized vehicle may not stay more than 48 hours.
In Lynchburg, City Code Section 25-262 keeps vehicles other than passenger vehicles and pickup or panel trucks of 7,500 pounds or less off residential streets except while loading, unloading or making service calls, and caps an oversized vehicle's stay at 48 hours even then. Dumpsters in on-street spaces or the right-of-way need a permit, and downtown, temporary parking permits cover short-term needs near a residence. In permit parking districts every parked vehicle needs a valid permit, but service and delivery vehicles serving residents are exempt.
