Fond du Lac rules for moving trucks, trailers and containers.
Key rule: In Fond du Lac, parking a trailer or moving truck in front of a home, or placing a dumpster or PODS container, in the city right-of-way requires a Dumpster/Trailer/PODS permit from the Engineering Division.
In Fond du Lac, a trailer or moving truck parked in front of a home, a dumpster or a PODS container in the right-of-way needs a Dumpster/Trailer/PODS permit, and the request must come from the owner of the truck, trailer or container rather than the resident; no obstruction permit runs longer than 30 days. No vehicle may sit in one spot on a city street for more than 24 hours, and no car or truck may park on the terrace. From November 15 through March 15, overnight parking alternates between the even and odd sides of the street, and the police may post temporary no-parking signs for snow removal.
