Key rule: In Green Bay, no vehicle may be parked on a city street between 3 a.m. and 5 a.m. year-round unless the Parking Division approves it, and requests must be in before 2 a.m.
In Green Bay, street parking is banned between 3 a.m. and 5 a.m. year-round; homes with three or fewer units can request up to six exceptions a year, valid only in front of the address, but no permission is given during a snow emergency, when parking is barred on every street. Vehicles with a curb weight of 10,000 pounds or more and semi-tractor/trailer combinations may not park on city streets in those night hours either. Occupying or obstructing the city right-of-way, such as a parking lane, needs a Public Works permit that can take up to three business days, and metered spaces also need a meter hood rental.
