Royal Palm Beach rules for moving trucks, trailers and containers.
Key rule: In Royal Palm Beach, a portable storage unit needs a free written permit from the village, and one placed in the front or side corner of a residential property may stay no more than seven calendar days.
Royal Palm Beach is a village, and its code requires a free written permit before a portable storage unit is placed; in residential districts the unit goes on the driveway, an approved parking area or the buildable part of the lot, never in the right-of-way, and one in the front or side corner may stay no more than seven calendar days, with at least seven days between annual placements. On the street next to private property, vehicles may stay no more than two hours without the neighbor's permission and only the adjacent owner may park overnight. Boxed cargo or platform vehicles over 10 feet tall or 20 feet long are on the list of vehicles prohibited from residential districts, where parking means standing longer than loading and unloading reasonably takes, and trucks over 1.5-ton capacity may not use posted streets.
