Delray Beach rules for moving trucks, trailers and containers.

Key rule: In Delray Beach, trucks and trailers may not be parked on a public street or right-of-way in a residential zoning district for more than one hour in any 24-hour period unless a permit is first obtained from the Police Department.

Delray Beach's land development regulations limit trucks, trailers and similar vehicles on residential streets and rights-of-way to one hour in any 24-hour period unless the Police Department issues a permit first, with exceptions for routine deliveries and service calls. Trucks and trailers are barred at all times from Atlantic Avenue between Swinton Avenue and southbound U.S. 1, and large vehicles over 8,000 pounds can't park on the designated A1A beach stretch. On streets signed against all-night parking, the limit is one hour between 1 a.m. and 7 a.m.
