Key rule: In Burlington, trucks, vehicles with any kind of trailer attached and any vehicle longer than 22 feet may stay parked on a residential street for no more than 60 minutes, apart from momentary stops to load or unload freight.
In Burlington, no one may obstruct or block a street or sidewalk without a written permit, and blocking a street outside a central-business-district special event takes written permission from the city manager. Trucks, vehicles with a trailer attached and vehicles longer than 22 feet may park on residential streets for up to 60 minutes (15 minutes in the business section), and vehicles wider than 96 inches for up to 30 minutes, though momentary stops to load or unload freight are exempt. Storing a detached trailer on a street is banned, and residential permit areas restrict parking from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on school days.
