Matthews rules for moving trucks, trailers and containers.

Key rule: In Matthews, a rental or moving van or truck may park in residential districts only to load or unload personal belongings for the lot where it is parked.

Matthews' town code allows a rental or moving van or truck to park in residential districts only while loading or unloading belongings for the lot where it is parked, and for no more than three consecutive nights; the same chapter separately limits any vehicle over one-ton capacity to two hours outside a loading zone. Commercial vehicles generally may not be parked or stored in residential districts, detached trailers may not be stored on the street, and parking may not obstruct traffic.
