Parking and permits

Fulshear rules for moving trucks, trailers and containers.

Key rule: In Fulshear, the code bans parking commercial vehicles, including box trucks, and trailers on residential streets, while a separate section lets a state-defined Commercial Motor Vehicle stop on city streets to load and unload.

Fulshear's code, amended in April 2026, makes it unlawful to park any commercial vehicle, including dump trucks, box trucks and flatbed trucks, or any trailer on a residential street, with exemptions for pickup trucks and landscape trailers at active jobs. A separately defined Commercial Motor Vehicle may stop on city streets only to load and unload or for short breakdown repairs, and any parked vehicle must leave 12 feet of roadway open. Signed school zone buffers ban stopping during restricted hours that include 6 to 9 a.m. and 2 to 5 p.m. on school days.
