San Marcos rules for moving trucks, trailers and containers.
Key rule: In San Marcos, a large motor vehicle or a travel trailer may not be left on a public street in a single-family residential zoning district for more than 24 hours.
San Marcos limits large motor vehicles (over 22 feet long or over seven feet tall) and travel trailers to 24 hours on streets in single-family residential zoning districts, and commercial vehicles larger than one-ton capacity to 30 minutes except during loading and unloading. Some streets are residential permit-parking areas where only permit holders for that street and block may park, and on weekdays and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. vehicles may not park within four feet of a curbside mailbox, though attended loading and unloading is allowed. Commercial haulers must keep dumpsters and roll-offs on the customer's property, not in the street.
