Weslaco rules for moving trucks, trailers and containers.
Key rule: In Weslaco, an oversized commercial vehicle, a category whose listed examples include box trucks, may not be parked or left standing for any amount of time on a residential street.
Weslaco's traffic code bars oversized commercial vehicles from parking or standing for any amount of time on residential streets and from front, side or rear yards of residential property. The definition lists trucks and box trucks, vehicles over a 15,000-pound gross weight rating, and trailers 25 feet or longer or more than seven feet wide. Where parking is prohibited, the code's definition of parking leaves out standing temporarily while actually loading or unloading, and trucks and trailers are directed to the city's designated truck routes.
