Parking and permits

Peoria rules for moving trucks, trailers and containers.

Key rule: In Peoria, it is unlawful to park a recreational vehicle or trailer on a public street except while loading or unloading, so a rental trailer should be loaded and moved on.

In Peoria, recreational vehicles and trailers may be parked on a public street only for loading and unloading, and tractors, semi-trailers, trailers and buses may not be parked on property or right-of-way in or next to a residential district except while loading or unloading. On single-family lots, an RV or utility trailer can sit in public view for 24 hours within any 14 days, or up to 72 hours with a free temporary parking permit. In summer the city urges drinking water before you feel thirsty and using electrolyte drinks during long, sweaty activity.
