Ceres rules for moving trucks, trailers and containers.
Key rule: In Ceres, city code says moving vehicles may not be parked on the street past 10 p.m. and may not block driveways.
In Ceres, the city code has a rule written for moving vehicles: they may not stay parked on the street past 10 p.m., block driveways, create a traffic hazard or nuisance, or park within 15 feet of either side of a fire hydrant. A truck and trailer, semi-trailer or commercial vehicle over 22 feet long may stop off a truck route only for pickups and deliveries, for no more than two hours, and parking a commercial vehicle rated 10,000 pounds or more on a residential street needs a City Engineer permit unless it is picking up or delivering goods. Leaving a truck in a street so it obstructs traffic is an infraction, but the obstruction rule exempts dumpsters placed temporarily during construction or property cleanup.
