Parking and permits

Cherry Hill rules for moving trucks, trailers and containers.

Key rule: In Cherry Hill, a portable storage unit (POD) needs a township Zoning Permit and can stay no more than 30 days, unless an active building permit is open on the property (capped at 190 days).

Cherry Hill Township allows PODs for the occupant of a home with a Zoning Permit, for up to 30 days, on concrete, asphalt or another hard surface, and at least 10 feet back from the right-of-way if placed in the front driveway. The traffic code restricts parking campers and trailers, and trucks or trailers over five tons, on township streets during specified hours, and asks residents to keep cars off the street from an hour after snow starts until 12 hours after it stops.
