Bethlehem rules for moving trucks, trailers and containers.
Key rule: In Bethlehem, vehicles over 23 feet long or 8,000 pounds curb weight, trailers and storage containers count as commercial vehicles, and none may be parked or stored on Town streets from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.
These rules come from the Town of Bethlehem government, which covers Delmar, Slingerlands, Glenmont and Selkirk, through its Town Code and Highway Department. The code treats vehicles over 23 feet or 8,000 pounds, trailers and storage containers as commercial vehicles that can't be parked or stored on Town streets from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., though the rule allows parking while loading or unloading at premises on the street. From November 1 to April 15, no vehicle may park on town roads from 1 to 7 a.m. regardless of the weather, and noise is held to stricter limits from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m.
