Rotterdam rules for moving trucks, trailers and containers.
Key rule: In Rotterdam, commercial vehicles weighing more than three tons unladen may not be parked on public streets in agricultural or residential districts, except while assisting in an emergency or being loaded or unloaded.
These rules come from the Town of Rotterdam government's Town Code. Commercial vehicles over three tons unladen can't park on residential streets except while loading or unloading, building material or other obstructions can't be left in Town streets or sidewalks (fines up to $1,000), and overnight parking from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. is banned in listed areas. After three inches or more of snow, cars can't be left unattended on Town or county streets until they're plowed, and vehicles towed during a 48-hour snow emergency are towed at the owner's expense.
