Parking and permits

Magna rules for moving trucks, trailers and containers.

Key rule: In Magna, trucks over three-quarter-ton capacity, commercial vehicles and trailers may not park on a residential street for more than three consecutive hours unless they are servicing the adjacent property.

Magna (a metro township in Census terms, which its own code calls the City) follows the Magna Code of Ordinances. That code limits trucks over three-quarter-ton capacity, commercial vehicles and trailers to three consecutive hours on residential streets unless they're servicing the adjacent property, bans parking any vehicle or trailer on paved roads while it is snowing or snow is on the street until plowing is complete, and caps any vehicle at 24 hours in one spot. Vehicles and objects may sit in the street only temporarily without obstructing traffic, and parked vehicles must leave at least ten feet of roadway open.

Rules and fees change. Confirm on the city's page before move day. Comparing cities? Moving permit rules for every Utah city.
