Leesburg rules for moving trucks, trailers and containers.
Key rule: In Leesburg, a truck longer than 20 feet or any trailer can't park on a street next to a residential district except while loading or unloading, though a vehicle loaded with furniture to be unloaded within 48 hours may park at the origin or destination address.
In Leesburg, a POD or other mobile storage unit can't go in the street, sidewalk or right-of-way without a town right-of-way permit. The town code keeps trucks over 20 feet, all trailers and vehicles rated 12,000 pounds or more off streets next to residential districts except while loading or unloading goods, and exempts vehicles loaded with furniture to be unloaded within 48 hours at the origin or destination. In permit parking zones, marked delivery or service vehicles get four hours a day, guest permits last one day and business permits up to 30 days, and parking on a snow emergency route is unlawful.
