Hollywood rules for moving trucks, trailers and containers.
Key rule: In Hollywood, a portable storage unit (POD) needs a City Engineer permit signed by the property owner or agent, must generally sit in the driveway, and can stay no more than 14 consecutive days at a home.
Hollywood requires a permit from the City Engineer, signed by the property owner or the owner's agent, before a portable storage unit is placed; in residential areas the unit generally goes in the driveway or, with rear alley access, the rear yard, and the City Engineer allows the right-of-way only where neither exists. Only one unit is allowed per site, it can stay at most 14 consecutive days in a residential district, and all units must be removed immediately when a hurricane warning is issued. Type A commercial vehicles may park in residential areas temporarily to do business contracted by the owner, and quiet hours on residential property run from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m.
