Parking and permits

North Miami rules for moving trucks, trailers and containers.

Key rule: In North Miami, a truck over one ton load capacity may not be stored or parked in any residential area unless it is actively loading or unloading materials.

North Miami's code bars trucks over one ton load capacity from residential areas unless they are actively loading or unloading, keeps recreational vehicles and buses off streets and rights-of-way, and never allows a dumpster or garbage container on the swale or right-of-way. Two neighborhoods, Arch Creek East on 135th Street and Griffing Biscayne Park Estates, are controlled residential parking areas with permit-only hours, and residents there can get up to two guest/service permits for service vehicles.
