DeWitt rules for moving trucks, trailers and containers.
Key rule: In DeWitt, parking is banned on Town highways from 2 a.m. to 6 a.m. every night from November 1 to April 1.
These rules come from the Town of DeWitt government's Town Code and Highway Department; the Village of East Syracuse, inside the town, and county and state roads are maintained separately. From November 1 to April 1, no vehicle may park on a Town highway from 2 a.m. to 6 a.m., whatever the weather, and police or the Highway Department may remove an unattended vehicle that obstructs traffic. In residential districts, commercial and recreational vehicles may be parked or stored outdoors only in the rear yard, though a recreational vehicle may sit on a driveway up to 10 days a year, and the noise law bars loud and excessive noise while loading or unloading a vehicle.
