Key rule: In Utica, no vehicle may be parked on any street for more than 30 minutes between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m., except physicians on emergency calls.
In Utica, the code limits street parking to 30 minutes between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m., signed alternate-side streets allow 24-hour parking that switches sides at 11 a.m., and a declared snow emergency bans parking on all streets. Motor trucks longer than 25 feet may park on a street only for quick loading or unloading, and trucks must park parallel within six inches of the curb while loading. A newer ordinance limits keeping large commercial vehicles, including freight box trucks, on residential property, but allows them temporarily for moving.
