Napa rules for moving trucks, trailers and containers.
Key rule: In Napa, an oversized vehicle, defined as any vehicle over 20 feet long or over 85 inches wide or tall and including any trailer, hitched or not, may not be left on a public street, alley or right-of-way for more than four consecutive hours.
Napa limits oversized vehicles, meaning anything over 20 feet long or 85 inches wide or tall plus any trailer, hitched or not, to four consecutive hours on a public street, alley or right-of-way, after which the vehicle must move more than a quarter mile. Oversized vehicles actively making pickups or deliveries next to the property being served are exempt. Any vehicle may stay on a street or alley no more than 72 hours, posted alleys are for loading and unloading only, and a restricted residential parking zone near Trower Avenue has resident and visitor permits.
