Parking and permits

Chino rules for moving trucks, trailers and containers.

Key rule: In Chino, a trailer of any size may be left parked on public or private property only while it is being loaded or unloaded, and then for no more than three consecutive hours.

Chino limits any trailer, regardless of size, and any vehicle over eight feet tall or 22 feet long to three consecutive hours on public or private property, and only while it is being loaded or unloaded; after six unattended hours it can be treated as abandoned and removed. No vehicle may sit on a street, alley or right-of-way for more than 72 consecutive hours in a calendar month, and anything placed in the public right-of-way needs an encroachment permit. Streets are swept twice a month, one side at a time by odd or even address.
