Lakewood rules for moving trucks, trailers and containers.
Key rule: In Lakewood, a POD in your driveway for under 3 days needs no permit.
Lakewood allows a moving POD in the street only through a Public Way permit, and only when there's no suitable spot on the property; a POD on private property for fewer than 3 days needs no permit. On the street, trucks over 6,000 pounds empty weight are allowed only while serving a property within 200 feet, trailers are limited to six hours a day, and an RV can sit in front of its owner's home for up to 48 hours while being loaded or unloaded. Some blocks are signed Restricted Residential Parking Areas where parking needs a permit.

Containers, trucks and the street
Lakewood's Public Way permit has a 'Dumpster or Moving POD' subtype for temporarily placing a storage container in the public street, allowed only if there is no suitable location on the private property; no permit is needed for a moving POD on private property for fewer than 3 days.
