Key rule: In Clarkstown, parking that is otherwise allowed on Town streets is banned from midnight to 6 a.m. every night from November 15 to April 1.

These rules come from the Town of Clarkstown government's Town Code, which covers the unincorporated town; incorporated villages within the town have their own codes. From November 15 to April 1, parking on Town streets is banned from midnight to 6 a.m., commercial vehicles are limited to three hours where parking isn't otherwise restricted, a vehicle left more than 24 hours counts as stored, and parked vehicles must leave at least 12 feet of roadway open. A portable storage container (POD) is limited to one per residential lot and may not sit in a required front yard or the public right-of-way, and it needs a Building Inspector permit once it has been in place more than 14 days.
