Key rule: In Wallkill, commercial vehicles longer than 25 feet may not be parked in any residential area except while loading or unloading.

These rules come from the Town of Wallkill government's Town Code; the City of Middletown, which is separate from the town, has its own rules. Commercial vehicles longer than 25 feet may not be parked in residential areas except to load or unload, and on smaller residential lots only one commercial vehicle up to 25 feet long may be kept in a garage or driveway. Parking on Town highways is prohibited from midnight to 6 a.m. from October 1 through April 1, and whenever more than two inches of snow accumulates within 24 hours.
