South Pasadena rules for moving trucks, trailers and containers.

Key rule: In South Pasadena, trailers may not be parked on any public right-of-way, except that a noncommercial vehicle or trailer may be left for no more than twenty-four hours for loading or unloading once a permit has been obtained from the chief of police.

South Pasadena's code bars parking a trailer or a vehicle over its height, length or width limits on any public right-of-way, but a noncommercial vehicle or trailer may stay up to twenty-four hours for loading or unloading with a permit from the chief of police, and a commercial vehicle may stay up to twenty-four hours for loading or unloading. Parking on the street between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. needs an overnight permit, sold by the day for up to three days at a time, and no overnight permit is issued for large commercial or oversized vehicles.
